Hi, I'm Simon — also known as DJ Mole
I'm a music enthusiast at heart. I trained in both violin and guitar, went on to perform with a range of different groups and bands, and have spent a lifetime listening avidly across every genre I could find. It was that deep, genuine love of music — and the way it transforms an atmosphere — that eventually led me to try my hand at DJing, and I haven't looked back since.
What drew me to it wasn't the equipment or the spotlight. It was the moment you watch a dance floor come alive. That first song that gets people out of their seats, the way a room shifts when the right track lands at the right time — that's what I'm always chasing, and it never gets old.
Every event I play is different, and I genuinely love that. Whether it's a wedding full of emotion and carefully chosen first dances, a children's party where the energy is absolutely electric, or a pub night where the crowd just wants to let loose — I put the same care and enthusiasm into all of them. No two nights are ever quite the same, and that suits me perfectly.
I believe the best events happen when people hear the music they actually want to hear. That's why I always encourage clients to send me requests and playlists beforehand. Your taste is what shapes the evening, and my job is to weave that together with the right flow and energy to keep things moving all night long.

Trained Musician
I started out learning violin and guitar, which gave me a thorough grounding in music theory, timing and the emotional texture of different styles. That foundation shapes how I think about building a set — not just playing songs, but constructing something that flows and feels right.
Primary School Teacher
Before Diamond Discos became my full focus, I spent years as a primary school teacher. That experience is still one of my most valuable assets — particularly when it comes to children's parties. I know how to read a room full of kids, keep them engaged, and make sure everyone — including the parents — has a genuinely brilliant time.
Over a Decade of DJing
More than ten years of events across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London have given me a music library and a skill set that covers everything from 1950s classics through to current chart hits. Whatever the crowd, whatever the age range, I've almost certainly played for one just like it before.

I Handle Everything
On the day I arrive early, set up quietly and efficiently, and make sure everything is ready well before your guests arrive. You won't need to worry about a thing — that's my job.

I don't talk into the microphone all night. I play music. When I do use the mic, it's purposeful — to welcome guests, introduce a first dance, or get a children's party game going. Beyond that, the music speaks for itself.
